Dussehra is a famous Festival of Hindu. This festival is celebrate in whole India with full joy. People also this festival Dasara and Vijayadashmi. These names vary from state to state due to the cultural differences. But the celebration and the devotion is the same in every Indian state.

this festival has some religious story behind this. One is During this festival people do pooja of their vehicles and also of other things that they use daily. This is because Pandavas retrieve their weapons on Vijayadashami.

Basically this Festival as the Victory of Truth Over Evil. Dussehra celebrates the Hindu god Rama’s victory over the demon king Ravana and the Victory of good over evil. The epic holy book Ramayana tells the story of the Lord Rama who wins the lovely Sita for his wife, only to have her carried off by Ravana, the demon king of Lanka. Ravana plays an important role in the Ramayana. According to the great Hindu epic Ramayana, Lord Ram killed Ravana on the tenth day that is Dussehra.

This Festival of Dussehra is also known as Durga Pooja, In eastern part of India people worship Goddess Durga all the nine days and celebrate Dussehra as it was on that day that the demon Mahisasura was killed by the Goddess.

Some of the demon (asurs) were powerful and ambitious, and tried to defeat the devtas and capture heaven. One asura, Mahishasura, grew powerful and wreaked havoc on earth. Under his leadership, the asuras defeated the devtas. The devtas come to mata then Mata Durga also called Shakti (a mass of incandescent energy) to kill Mahishasura.

A bolt of lightning emerged from the mouths of Brahma, Vishnu and Siva, and a young, beautiful female virgin with ten hands appeared. The gods gave her their weapons, and Shakti coalesced to form the goddess Durga. On a lion who assisted her, Durga fought Mahishasura for nine days and nights; on the tenth day, Mahishasura was killed. Durga, as Siva’s consort, represents two forms of female energy: mild and protective, and fierce and destructive.

People play enjoy Garba, Dandiya during the Navratri Nights. This is a pure joy and happiness where both men womwn and kids come together and play Garba. They sing and dance together in the name of Durga Maa. This festival is such a joy which brings happiness among the devotees and also distributes among them. During this festival, everybody wants to wish their Family. As India is a place with love and affection, people also wish their Friends and relatives on this auspicious occasion and festival Dussehra.
