After the two days of Diwali this festival is celebrated.There is an old story related to this festival the river Yamuna invited her brother yam to her home and she put tika on her forhead and welcomed her. This is the reason we celebrate bhai dhooj. it is also said that yam is called the god of death so if the girl put tika on this day to her brother then he gets a long life. Every festival has their own beliefs and people believe them and enjoy them.
