Congress party was founded in 1885 by Allan Octavian Hume, Dadabhai Naoroji and Dinshaw Wacha during the British rule. After the independence, under the leadership of Jawahar Lal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi the party had achieved lots of success. The congress has taken many steps for the benefit of the people. Jawaharlal Nehru was the first prime minister of the congress party.

With the coalition of different parties they formed the Indian government which was handled by Manmohan Singh. To work for the economic and social levels of the Indian economy and also take the necessary actions for the development of the country. The party always focuses to give religious equality, secularism, justice to the people. Party always takes the best steps for the development of the country.
