Pathankot 25, September ( Tarun /Deepak) Today, Educational Award Ceremony 2024 was organized by Pathankot Academic Association under the chairmanship of president Abhinav Mahajan and General Secretary Gaurav Sharma at Hotel Unite, Pathankot. On this occasion, Honorable SDM major Dr. Sumit Mudh (PCS) was present as the Chief Guest and Honorable DEO Rajesh Kumar was present as the Special Guest.

On this occasion, Vice President of the organization BS Kanwar, Cashier Jatinder Sohal, PRO Amandeep Singh along with Rajesh Mahajan, Dinesh Bangar, Krumpal Logoria, Shivam Bhardwaj, Gurpreet Singh, Meenakshi Sharma Were also specially present. On this occasion, the most eminent personalities of our school in District Pathankot, Kangra and Kathua attended and were honored with Educational Award by the chief Guest and Special Guest.

On this Occasion, the Chief Guest and Special Guest highly appreciated such programs organized by Pathankot academic association. Speaking on this occasion, President Abhinav mahajan said that such programs are very much needed according to the time so that officers can discuss about children’s career and modern education system. He said that in Future also he will try to organize such programs from time to time.

Pathankot Academic Association in Pathankot organized the Educational Award Ceremony on 25th September 2024. 80+ school’s principal of district Pathankot, Kangra and Kathua were present in this educational award ceremony. Awards were distributed to all school’s principal for appreciate them. Appreciation Awards were given to students. Students also performed activities at educational award ceremony. In educational award ceremony the officers discussed about modern education technics and programs that will help the students in their future. They also discuss about the different career opportunities for the students in educational award ceremony in Pathankot. The Function of Educational award ceremony is started with the “ Deep Prajwalan” by the SDM Mam major Dr. Sumit Mudh (PCS). Then saraswati Vandhna by Dishita singh Himachal viral Girl & Himachal Got talent, Runners up. One Best Drama was performed on Women Power by Some Students.

Skit performed on mobile addiction by the Students. After These performances Award ceremony started. Award gave to the principals of the schools. After that life time award are given to the retire teachers the teachers are Ravinder Kumar (EX DEO + National Award ), Rajeshwar Singh Salaria ( EX Dept DEO), KB Chopra ( EX Principal ), Rajinder Upal ( EX Professor). 12 students of Govt. Sen Sec School Malikpur got Position in State Scholarship for appreciate them in Educational Award ceremony gives the awards to these 12 students and also give the award to their teacher Rajiv Salaria.

After giving awards One Gidha Performance by the girls. Then some Media awards are given. After that Dinner for all. First time in Pathankot their is the Pathankot District, inter District, Event of the PSEB, CBSE, and ICSE principals in same place. This event is helpful in educational sector. UGC-NET-  is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges.

The UGC- NET JRF (it is compulsory Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor both), will be conducted by the NTA (national Testing Agency). UGC-NET examination is conducted in 84 subjects at 91 selected Cities of spread across the country. Candidates who clear the Test of UGC for Assistant  Professor are governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments, as the case may be.

As per the press-release by Indian Government, the exam would be conducted twice a year June month and December month, and it will be conducted in an online mode instead of offline mode.

Jobs Opportunities for NET Qualified Candidates

University Grants Commission (UGC) announced by Govt of India in 2013 that the candidates who clear the NET successfully would be eligible for lucrative jobs in public sector undertakings (PSUs). UGC-NET scores is also used by the  PSUs for the recruitment process of the posts of executives in their organizations in disciplines like science (R&D), management, corporate communications, human resources, and finance. This step taken by the UGC would also increase the number of students taking the UGC-NET examination which has witnessed a gradual decline in recent years.

UGC-NET Qualifying Criteria

Qualifying Exam: Students must have minimum qualifying marks with aggregate 55% marks to General and 50% to reserved candidates in master’s degree. Students those appearing in the final semester of the master’s degree can also apply.

Cut off Marks: UGC-NET qualifying cut off marks for General category is 40% in Paper I & II while the qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Transgender categories is 35% in Paper I & II.

On the other hand, Top 6% of candidates will be selected for eligibility of NET Lectureship. Simultaneously, a separate list for JRF would be prepared.

Age Criteria:  For JRF Candidate must not be more than 28 years of age as on January 1, 2019. And for Assistant Professorship No upper age limit has been declared by UGC.

The age relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC- NCL, and PwD) and also to women applicants.

PGT (Post Graduate teacher) exam is conducted by DSSSB, KVS, NVS & state conduct the TGT test when they require a teacher in Senior Secondary level. It is the Gateway to become PGTs in govt. schools. DSSSB is of 200 marks and time duration is 2hrs with 0.25 negative marking, KVS is of 200 marks and time duration is 2hrs with 0.25 negative marking.
